USC Institute of Creative Technologies (ICT)
The Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT) at USC has spent more than 25 years leading research in immersive technology, simulation, artificial intelligence, computer graphics, narrative storytelling, and human performance. ICT’s multidisciplinary work has produced advanced prototypes and pilot projects that address real world challenges affecting service members, students, and society.
ICT researchers and students are at the forefront of innovations in photorealistic digital actors, motion and gesture generation, interactive characters, mixed reality environments, and the emotional impact of immersive experiences. The institute also bridges engineering and the arts, exemplified by programs like the Small Teams Big Pictures Summer Program, where USC filmmakers collaborate with engineering students to create films using generative AI.
Supporting the Institute for Creative Technologies will expand hands-on research and learning opportunities, empower students to lead in creative and technological innovation, and equip them to develop immersive solutions that improve lives and shape the future of media and storytelling.
