Ryan Ross ’27 Pursues His Research Dreams Through Scholarship Support
“This scholarship has and will make a considerable impact on my medical education not only in terms of finances but also as an empowering motivator to strive to make the most of my educational opportunities as I work towards becoming the best physician I can be. I sincerely thank alumni for supporting and trusting in my potential. This scholarship is an affirming achievement of what I have done and an inspiration for all that I can do in the future.”
My experiences in clinical research, particularly my recent summer fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery at Vanderbilt, have fueled my desire to become a surgeon-scientist actively involved in research. I hope to be able to make contributions to the field and apply new findings to my patients, bettering their care. As someone who has partaken in tutoring and mentorship throughout my life, I strive to make education part of my career as well.”
