At the USC Thornton School of Music, we aren’t simply responding to the future of music – we’re helping to define it.
Our students share stages and classrooms with some of the most influential artists and thinkers in contemporary culture; recent visitors include Grammy winners Jon Batiste, H.E.R. and Solange, Hollywood Bowl President Meghan Umber, and acclaimed conductor Leonard Slatkin. Our events, free and open to the public, reinforce USC Thornton’s role as a world-class convener for urgent cultural dialogue.
USC Thornton stands at the intersection of creative excellence, industry leadership and critical inquiry. In 2026, our alumni took home six Grammy Awards, after receiving a total of 27 nominations.
