The USC Kaufman School of Dance has, in the last decade, established itself as a leader and dynamic force in dance education both in Los Angeles and across the world. The school’s hybrid model combines the artistic rigor of a conservatory dance education — including in-studio practice, choreography, performance and new media — with the unparalleled academic opportunities of USC.
At USC Kaufman, our students work regularly with leading artists through our robust Visiting Artists initiative and perform on iconic professional stages, including The Soraya, Jacob’s Pillow, and The Joyce Theater in New York. Students travel internationally for Maymesters and collaborative projects with organizations including the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris and London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Each year, all cohorts present student-choreographed works.
USC Kaufman alumni have gone on to become Broadway and West End stars, filmmakers, choreographers, educators and artists shaping the future of dance on stages and screens around the world.
